How would you describe First United Methodist Church Coppell?
We are a church family that gathers for worship, grows in grace, and goes to serve.

Where is First United Methodist Church Coppell and where do I park?
We are located at the corner of South Heartz Road and Bethel School Road and we have multiple parking lots. View our map for more information.

What time is worship and what is each service like?
8:30 and 11:00 am - Traditional, Sanctuary
This traditional worship experience, led by Senior Pastor Rev. Dennis Wilkinson, is designed for people of all stages of their faith journeys.  A hymn-based worship service accompanied by organ and piano.

9:45 am - Heartfire, Sanctuary
This worship service is an uplifting, casual, contemporary service with music led by a praise band and vocalists.

Do you have Sunday School?
Yes, we have children, youth and adult Sunday school classes at 9:45 am and one Adult class at 11:00 am.

What should I wear?
You will see a variety of styles of dress here.  Please wear something you feel is comfortable and appropriate.

Will anyone talk to me?
You will be greeted.  But we do try to meet people where they are.  Some want to be left alone and others would like to visit.  Consider visiting the Information tables just inside our doors before you enter the Sanctuary.

Will I have the opportunity to speak with a Pastor?
Yes.  Pastors are available in the Narthex following each service. 

Where do my kids go during worship?
Loving care is offered in the Church Nursery for infants through young 3 year olds.  Please check in at the nursery desk located across from The Rosenburg Chapel.  Wee Worship, a supplementary worship experience offered at 11:00 am during the school year for children ages 3 through first grade.  Children join Wee Worship leaders and parent volunteers after "Children's Time" during the worship service except on Communion Sundays (first Sunday of the month).  Register for Wee Worship at the table in Wesley Hall before the service each Sunday.  For more information, including Sunday School, please visit our Childrens page.

I have a child with special needs.  Do you have accommodations for my family?
Yes! At the family’s request we will provide a lovingly attentive friend to help their child participate or take care of the child while the parent(s) and/or sibling(s) are involved in any church activities.  Many of our adult volunteers work in the Special Education department for area school districts.  In order to arrange Loving HANDS for your child, please contact Kathy Braem at kbraem@fumccoppell.org or 972-462-0471 at least 48 hours prior to the time needed.

Are there events that visitors can attend?
Yes.  We periodically have a Pastor's coffee, a Visitor's dessert and Methodism classes.  Dates, times and locations will be coming soon.
